I’ve been sitting with something tender.
And if you’re here reading this, maybe you’ve felt it too — the strange ache that comes when something once full of meaning starts to feel… disconnected.
The truth is: I haven’t been feeling very rooted in my business lately.
What once felt like a clear channel — creative, inspired, healing — has felt foggy. Uncertain. A little like I’m moving through the motions, not fully inside them.
Some of you know that I moved back to Calgary after living in Prince Edward Island — a place that cracked me open, softened me, and reminded me of what it feels like to live slowly and soulfully. Coming back has been… complex. Beautiful in moments, but also confusing. Loud. Fast. Grieving. There are pieces of me that are still catching up.
And so much of Soul Lux — this business, these offerings — were built on who I was before. Before PEI. Before I slowed down. Before I heard my nervous system whisper, “this pace is not sustainable.”
So here I am. In the space between what was and what’s next.
I’m not writing this with a 10-point plan or a rebrand announcement.
I’m writing this to say: I’m still here. And I’m listening.
Right now, I’m allowing myself to reimagine what Soul Lux can be.
Not just a product line. Not just appointments on a calendar.
But a sanctuary — for you, and for me.
One rooted in ritual, not rush.
One that feels like exhaling.
One where healing isn’t just something I offer — it’s something I live.
In the coming weeks, things might shift.
Offerings might change. The pace might slow.
But know this: I’m not stepping away. I’m stepping in. More honestly, more softly, and more soulfully than ever before.
If you’re in your own fog, I hope this reminds you:
You’re allowed to question everything.
You’re allowed to grieve what no longer fits.
You’re allowed to choose again — gently, with love.
We’re allowed to evolve.
And I’m grateful to evolve in front of you, not behind a polished curtain.
Thank you for being here. For holding space. For walking this wild path with me.
With softness,
Melanie
