REIKI
Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique that channels universal life energy, or ‘Qi,’ to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Practitioners use their hands to guide and transfer energy into the recipient’s body, typically by lightly touching or just above specific body areas. This process is believed to enhance energy flow through the body’s energetic pathways, or meridians, and balance the body’s subtle energy fields. Reiki has been shown to influence the autonomic nervous system, reduce stress, and induce a state of deep relaxation, thereby activating the body’s natural healing responses. It may also enhance immune function, reduce inflammation, and accelerate recovery from injury. Research suggests that Reiki therapy can be effective in alleviating conditions such as anxiety, chronic pain, insomnia, and stress by promoting energetic balance and reducing blockages in the body’s energy flow.

What to Expect During Your First Reiki Session
1. Initial Consultation
We’ll begin by discussing your health history, emotional well-being, and any specific concerns or intentions for the session. Reiki works on physical, emotional, and energetic levels, so this conversation helps tailor the treatment to your unique needs.
2. The Reiki Healing Session
Comfortable & Relaxing Setting – You’ll lie fully clothed on a massage table (or sit in a chair if preferred). Soft lighting, gentle music, and a peaceful atmosphere set the tone for deep relaxation.
Hands-On or Hands-Off Approach – Reiki is administered through light touch or hands hovering above the body at key energy centers (chakras, meridians, or areas of imbalance).
Personalized Essential Oils – To enhance the healing experience, I will incorporate essential oils based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles. These oils are carefully selected to support your elemental balance, organ systems, and emotional well-being. For example:
- Lavender or Sandalwood for calming the Shen (mind/spirit)
- Ginger or Cinnamon for warming and supporting Yang energy
- Peppermint or Eucalyptus to promote the free flow of Qi and breath

- A sense of warmth, tingling, or gentle pulsations
- Deep relaxation or a floating sensation
